A Day in the Life of an Acres of Lions tour: Edmonton
Notes from the Road is Music Canada’s artist tour diary. Canadian artists on tour around the world will share their stories of fans, gigs and the “good, bad and the ugly” of touring!
Tuesday, November 3rd, 4:00 pm, Mt. Robson Provincial Park
On our ten hour drive from Kamloops to Edmonton, bored and badly needing to stretch from being crammed in the van, we were trying to think of a way to creatively break up the trip, so we decided to stop near the entrance to Mount Robson Provincial Park to film a little video for our new song “All Your Time,” a song about aging and discovery, changing with the seasons.
It was perfect. The snow started to fall, the low-hanging clouds and fog were hugging the mountain and oh boy, was it setting up for the winter months. .
Conquering the sound of the constant oncoming traffic and keeping the lens dry enough to capture the moment proved to be slightly difficult, but being on the side of the road with the boys at that moment was a thing of beauty, and we will definitely be doing more random acoustic videos throughout the tour.
What better way to take a break from a long drive?
